downtheditch.com is creative and cultural epicentre for one of London's most fashionable areas. With a focus on arts and culture, fashion, music and nightlife downtheditch.com is a definitive guide for latest news and events in Shoreditch.
You will be at the forefront of all the action creating and producing stories for the website. A vital element to your role will be networking and liasing with PR companies, marketing teams, night club promoters, DJs, muscians, atists, bloggers and businesses in the local area to get exclusive news stories and articles as well as filming opportunites for the online tv channel downtheditch TV.
Responsibilities:
Writing blog articles across the various downtheditch.com lifestyle categories
Managing online content
Distributing content across social media platforms
Liasing with creative individuals and businesses in the local area
Previewing, attending and reviewing local events
Research in the local area
Managing a video production team
Skills Required:
Demonstratable knowledge of Shoreditch and proven activity in the local area
Knowledge and experience of wordpress and blogging platforms
Experience of using social media in a business environment
Accurate, precise and engaging writing skills
Thorough and methodical research skills
An outgoing and confident personality
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A passion for digital photography, film and video editing
Experience of using digital SLR cameras
An ability to work with and manage a team
An ability to recruit people to work with you in any areas where you lack the necessary skills
