Job Description
We are a print and trophy business based in Slough, Berkshire, and we are currently revamping our website; a project which has included a recent redesign, as well as the addition of a thousand new products.
Part of the work we are currently doing on our website is to ensure that every product page is optimised for search engines. A large part of this will be writing unique 100 - 200 word descriptions using keywords that are relevant to that product and its category. At present there are approximately 1200 products that need descriptions written.
We need a student, preferably doing a humanities degree, to help writing the copy for these products. They will need to be highly literate and have a flair with language as each of these descriptions need to be unique and interesting but still fit in with the house style. Alongside this main product description work we will also need the student to write newsletters and general copy for the website. They will work with the Marketing Manager who will give a basic introduction to SEO and will help with the house style, editing etc.
This will be a paid position of £6.00 per hour, 40 hours a week, for up to 6 weeks. The candidate will need to work at our branch in Slough - please do not apply if you are unable to travel to Slough.
