Temporary
Location: Rich Mix, Shoreditch
Closing Date: June 9th, 2012
Job Description
Since September 2011, SoundBites has been creating dynamic new work and playing to sell-out crowds across London. We programme some of the boldest and most exciting theatre makers and live music acts to create short plays that feature live music on stage.
On May 17th we have our next event at Rich Mix, featuring DIY loop pedal songstress Tanya Auclair, three piece ‘Strum + Bass’ outfit More Like Trees and renowned grime act Ears. Working with these artists as inspiration are three exciting playwrights - Gabriel Bisset Smith, Hannah Rodger and Shamser Sinha.
We are looking for a phtotographer who can capture images of both actors and musicians performing these short plays. Each of the three 20 min plays will have a dress rehearsal during which you can take photos. We will also have 10mins after each play for you to set up any particular shots from the piece that you would like to capture again.
Experience of working with variable stage lighting would be a bonus. SoundBites is growing fast - we are transferring a play to the Old Vic Tunnels in June, running workshops at the Roundhouse in August and taking short plays to Bestival in September.
We need top quality images that capture the exciting collaborative energy of the performances. We can only offer £15 towards expenses for May 17th, but if you are interested in live performance photography this is a great opportunity to add to your portfolio and get your work seen by some of the partners we are in contact with (Barbican, Roundhouse, Bestival etc).
If you are interested please send examples of your work and confirm you are available from 4pm-7pm on Thursday May 17th.
Thanks
