Job Description
The project combines rewarding volunteer work in a rural community with the chance to experience remote South Africa - perfect for a summer holiday or a starting point for further travels on your year out.
The 5 week Venture gets under way at Johannesburg Airport, where you will be met by our AV representative and helped with your transfer to an internal flight to Bloemfontein. Your destination is Philippolis, a two hour drive due south of Bloemfontein.
Over the next two days, you will have a lot of fun as you learn about South Africa, the local culture and environment, and the do's and don'ts about living in the bush. Then you will immerse yourself in community life for nearly five weeks of volunteering.
You will dig, build, paint and play - even teach for those that are interested – really, anything that is going on, you will be involved with!

BEFORE DEPARTURE:
- Pre-departure information, support and advice
- Advice on flight arrangements
IN-COUNTRY:
- In-country representative
- 24/7 in-country backup
- Meet and greet at airport (if arriving at recommended time)
- Airport transfer (if arriving at recommended time)
- In-country induction course
- Transfer from induction course to project
- Accommodation during volunteer programme
- Food allowance during volunteer programme
- All transport during volunteer programme except any internal flight
- Accompanied by a guide furing volunteer programme
- Management of emergencies, including lost passport, illness, etc. whilst in-country
