Job Description
The project combines rewarding volunteer work in a rural community with the chance to experience some fun adventure activities in East Africa - perfect for a summer holiday or a starting point for further travels on your year out.
Your 5 week volunteering project starts at Mombasa Airport, you will head to Msambweni, your home and project base for the next three weeks. Here our representative will brief and prepare you for time in Africa.
Your community volunteer project will see you working in the village on some of the following:
- Constructing and renovating a village school.
- Teaching in local schools.
- Coaching sport in local schools. You might even organise a sports day.
A Kenyan project leader will accompany you on all tasks and your volunteer project work will be with the local people throughout.
Then, you will enjoy 2 weeks of adventure and fun in East Africa! including a safari in the Masaai Mara, white water rafting, and trekking Mt Kenya!
Finally, return to Nairobi for the largest BBQ in Africa,
and do some final shopping before heading off to the airport.

BEFORE DEPARTURE:
- Pre-departure information, support and advice
- Advice on flight arrangements
IN-COUNTRY:
- In-country representative
- 24/7 in-country backup
- Meet and greet at airport (if arriving at recommended time)
- Airport transfer (if arriving at recommended time)
- In-country induction course
- Transfer from induction course to project
- Accommodation during the 3 week volunteer programme
- Food allowance during the 3 week volunteer programme
- All transport during volunteer programme, except any internal flight
- Accompanied by a guide during volunteer programme
- Management of emergencies, including lost passport, illness, etc. whilst in-country
