Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of charitable trust fundraising and bid writing within a small community organisation. Stepney City Farm is looking to recruit a Fundraising Intern who will work with various committees running projects developing a number of funding bids. This role and the infrastructure and bids it will create will have an enormous impact on the future of the farm. There is potential for training depending on length of time based at the farm.
Stepney City Farm is a charity based in Tower Hamlets dedicated to providing the people of East London the chance to experience rural life, and engage in educational, environmental and creative projects. We are a working farm with various animals on-site including donkeys, goats, chickens and ducks so the main focus of the day-to-day running of the farm is caring for the animals. However, the organisation also seeks to provide educational opportunities for the local community with regards to animal care, gardening and rural crafts. We run a Community Growing Club, rent out cheap allotment space, work in partnership with local Schools and Youth Clubs and have a range of craftspeople who work on site. The farm is currently in a process of transition with new works taking place on-site and the potential for a variety of projects so it’s an exciting time to get involved!
