Job Description
A London-based entrepreneurial business group requires a self-motivated individual to assist in raising finance and liaising with investors for a high quality, big ticket deal flow of innovative technologies and investment opportunities in the Energy and Cleantech sectors.
Working in a small team, you will need to apply a number of skills across the focus sectors and you will gain very useful experience. Your work profile will be varied and stimulating; however, this may require you to change tasks at a moment's notice.
Tasks:
- Developing links with investment managers, corporate finance houses, family offices, venture capital and private equity firms
- Researching markets, companies, and new technologies
- Due Diligence on potential investments
- Taking minutes and engaging with associates at business meetings
- Maintaining contacts with associates, suppliers and potential clients
- Any administrative tasks when required
This is a 3 month internship opportunity (with the option of an extension), starting immediately.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Masters Degree in Finance or in a relevant field
- Ideally work experience in the Finance or Investment sectors
- Excellent computer skills (particularly Excel)
- Good organisational skills
- Impeccable spoken and written English
- A team player with great interpersonal skills
- Courteous and personable demeanour in person and confident on the phone
