Job Description
The External Relations department is responsible for all aspects of the Academy of Ancient Music’s public-facing work, including fundraising and communications. Our role is to raise the vital funds needed if the orchestra is to sustain its work, and to share with the greatest possible number of people a clear and compelling message about the orchestra and the music we perform.
This is a new position at the AAM. The post-holder will work very closely with the Head of External Relations, initially taking responsibility for the AAM’s day-to-day relationship with members of the AAM Society (the orchestra’s very important group of individual supporters who have donated sums of between £250 and £50,000 in the last year) and also for making applications to charitable trust funds and supporting the AAM’s work in soliciting corporate sponsorship. There is considerable scope for the role to develop over time.
