Job Description
We are a small team of consultants based in West London (plus a few remotely) and are looking for an IT administrator who can provide us with support when we need it. At the moment it is difficult to say how many hours, but if you are keen to get your hands dirty then there will be more work. Typical examples are:
- Making sure the network is up and running, that new hardware can see the network and talk to other devices and setting up new PCs or laptops
- Evaluating, installing and configuring the different software we use i.e. MS office tools
- Writing some macros for MS office products that we've lost as a result of upgrading to new machines
- Setting up a new document server or online storage
- Setting up remote access for employees based in Sweden and the Netherlands
- Support with the CMS - any HTML experience would be great
We mainly use Windows, so you'll need experience (or knowledge) of that environment. We are also migrating most of our systems to the cloud, so will need support on this.
We don't have a dedicated IT resource, so many things come up that need fixed or looked at. As we are not a technical company, as a result everything IT has been neglected - to the MS exchange we run to MS office being out of date, but we would like to get this in order.
Someone that lives close by, has hands on experience and is flexible would be great. We'd prefer a graduate too, as it may provide some decent experience.
