Job Description
Kdot Online is a specialist youth, music and lifestyle marketing agency.
We are looking for a highly motivated social media enthusiast to assist the team.
The role is part time and will be offered on a campaign by campaign basis - supporting the team in delivering social media campaigns. It should appeal to someone who is motivated to work effectively from home and eager to learn about social media as a career path. You should have your own laptop and WIFI connection. You would be required to come into the office during a campaign for a couple of days a week - but it is a small and busy company and you will be expected to work under your own steam.
You must have a knowledge of, and be able to demonstrate, how to use Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Myspace as a marketing and communications tool.
You should also know the basics of software such as Garageband and Imovie to create video and audio snippets for web use as well as photoshop style graphics editing software for producing banner ad's and visuals for use online.
A Knowledge of managing the back end of blogs in Wordpress as a well as Typepad, Blogger and Tumblr.
You should also demonstrate an understanding (and preferably be a user) of forums and forum etiquette. Have a love of music and youth lifestyle brands. Have an understanding of fans and how they operate online. Basic HTML and SEO (search engine optimisation) knoweldge. A passion for using social media to broadcast yourself and for finding an audience online... as well as a desire to work within social media marketing and promotions as a career.
