Job Description
Marketing Assistant - 3 month paid internship
Duration: 3 months (this may also lead to a permanent position)
Salary: £13,000 per annum (pro rata)
Start date: January 2012
Are you a marketing or communications graduate looking for hands-on experience in a UK top 10 digital design agency? Look no further. We have a 3 month paid internship, for a talented graduate to help in the day-to-day running of our marketing department.
Tasks you should expect to learn about, and undertake
- Replying to report requests with a properly structured email and follow up system
- Writing press releases
- Assisting with social media campaigns: further developing our presence, and sourcing content for LinkedIn, blog, Twitter etc…
- Helping with, and organising event bookings
- Researching and monitoring industry related events which Precedent could/should be involved with
- Helping with newsletter construction, gathering internal articles and learning how to use Campaign Monitor
What we’re looking for
- A marketing or communications graduate
- Strong English language, and creative writing skills, ideally with some experience producing online or press related content
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Experience of contributing, monitoring, and updating content for social media channels
- Excellent computer software skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Familiarity with basic internet and press research methods
- Excellent personal time management skills
- Methodical hard worker, ready to learn and exchange skills with the team
- A self-starter, able to take the initiative, and make independent decisions
