Job Description
We are looking for a confident, driven and creative Researcher to work in an experienced headhunting business in South Kensington. We specialise in recruiting salespeople, salestraders and research analysts in the international equity markets for our network of clients across the City.
Job Role:
Responsibility for leading the company’s research using a range of resources including: open sources online, our extensive database, and key contacts in the marketplace.
An essential research method will be speaking to contacts and clients via telephone in order to gather intelligence. Thorough in-house training will be provided before any such calls are required.
Training will be maintained throughout each stage of the Researcher’s development to ensure a consistent upward learning curve and that he/she is equipped with all necessary knowledge and support.
Responsibility for drafting correspondence to clients; gathering information about potential candidates; monitoring the media for developments in our target sectors; updating our records; preparing and presenting reports and administrative tasks as directed by the MD.
Supporting consultants by participating in pitches and progress meetings to senior banking clients.
Alongside the headhunting business we are currently engaged in a number of other exciting projects in which you would be expected to play a full part. This work would involve business planning, research and, above all, creative thinking. It would also offer the chance to take a leading role in our website upgrade and social media outreach.
Core Competencies & Values:
Educated to degree level with a 2:2 result minimum.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You may be asked to sit a written test at the interview.
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint and experience using search engines and social media.
Professional or internship experience in sales or research would be an advantage.
Natural alignment with our core ethos of serving our clients and candidates.
An enthusiasm for learning about financial services.
A clear understanding of and genuine desire to work in Executive Search/Headhunting.
Complete integrity is essential.
