Graphic Designer
£14,000.00
This is a Graphic Design opportunity for a graduate with creative flair and experience using Adobe CS5 Suite. An excellent opportunity to join a market leading company based in Rainham, Gillingham, Kent.
The Role: Beams International is now recognised as the UK’s market leader in the supply of branded and bespoke gift products. Our partnership with world class brands, coupled to our in-house design studio and a Hong Kong based sourcing & QC facility, enables us to deliver innovative and exciting premium, value for money, branded and bespoke gift products to duty free, UK retail and overseas export markets.
We are now looking to expand our design team to welcome a talented graphic designer who will produce stylish and striking packaging designs. The designs will be created using a variety of software packages (Illustrator, Photoshop) on a Mac. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Graphic Designer who wants to take their first steps in a commercial environment.
The Candidate: A degree in Graphic Design or similar, 2:1 or above. Experience of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Indesign. Confident ability with freehand design. Knowledge of Cinema 4D would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a creative flair and excellent team work and communication skills. Self motivated with strong entrepreneurial traits. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects with potentially conflicting requirements. Able to negotiate and present own ideas to a senior audience. Adaptable and flexible to cope with the changing needs of clients and brand owners. Ability to identify opportunities for self, colleagues and company and have strong organising and coordinating skills. You should be able to demonstrate all these attributes through previous work experience, University or other activities.
Equipment and Software used: Office based Mac, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Cinema 4D, Entourage, MS Office ( Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet.
The hours of work are 09:00-5:30 Monday-Thursday, 09:00-3:00 on Friday. The position is office based at our ‘open plan’ premises in Rainham. Holiday entitlement will be 28 days per year with discretionary companywide Christmas bonus.
