Web Developer Internship

Purpose of the Role:

To provide IT support to the management team to enable Big Picture to achieve business objectives and respond to client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to create websites that present specific data from our database
Website design and development when required
Manage the in house data collection system
Manage client reporting system and run client reports
Develop and integrate data collection system with other areas of the business
Maintain database and user accounts/profiles
Develop Web Applications for Client needs.
Work with external developers and build relationships.
PC support for office staff
Provide support to field team on extranet queries
Undertake all maintenance required for Company website.
Preparing information for client pitches
Providing training to field personnel on client’s products as required
Responding to ad hoc requests from business management & Ops team
Manage the induction of all new Head Office staff in relation to Company systems
Undertake personal development to ensure you remain conversant with all essential knowledge in your field.
Liaise with Network Specialist to ensure integrity of Company systems at all times. Update Network Specialist with all required security credentials for completion of their duties (example: Server Passwords.)
Manage social media sites such as Facebook etc
Any other task as reasonably required to meet business needs

Person Requirements:

Knowledge of Coding, in particular SQL and PHP is essential.

Knowledge of how to create websites using one of the following is essential;

Knowledge of developing Smartphone applications would be desirable

Academic Qualifications:

Any computer or business related degrees or qualifications would be desirable.
