Job Description
I am in my final year of a Fashion Journalism degree at The London College of Fashion and am required to write, design and produce a fresh magazine for an emerging market. I am looking to find an enthusiastic Graphic Designer that will collaborate with me over the next few months to produce a brilliant piece of work that can be added to both of our portfolios.
The magazine will be a fashion and lifestyle magazine for young people titled 'Swoon'.
Its aim is to be much more mature and inspiring than teenage titles today, mixing the in-depth content of a monthly magazine with the fast entertainment a weekly glossy brings. It will cover everything from fashion, beauty, music, quizzes, film and even a little politics, while being quirky and beautifully designed.
Style-wise I have been inspired by magazines like: Lula, Foam, Material Girl, Nylon and many more. I have talented photographers and illustrators on board and hope to produce a visually stunning magazine with content that will entertain and inform savvy teens making the magazine a keepsake.
I am really excited to create this magazine and am looking for someone that will share my enthusiasm. It is a brilliant opportunity for anyone looking to build up their portfolio and have creative input and freedom.
Although my budget is quite small, the position will be paid and I am happy to discuss this further with any applicants.
If you think this might be of interest to you, please get in touch..even if it is to ask questions about the project!
Thank you.
