Job Description

Trafficlink, the UK's leading provider of Traffic and travel information to the BBC, commercial radio and television, has opportunities to join their team in Birmingham.

Information Editors - You will handle 'jamline' callers, contact many sources from the local CCTV unit to the relevant agency who maintains the road network, and you would be responsible for collating this data into our custom built database.  You need the ability to handle a busy workload as you will be dealing with a huge variety of resources and also understand how to prioritise tasks while having excellent telephone skills to gain as much information from sources as you can. An excellent knowledge of a region's road network would be an advantage.

Broadcasters - You would be responsible for providing live and pre-recorded travel news bulletins to commercial and BBC clients. You would also support the information editors by making / taking phone calls and entering information onto a database.  The ability to present articulately and confidently is a must, whilst a good knowledge of a region's road network would be an advantage.

Various shifts are available 24 hours 7 days, with many of the shifts being between 6-10am and 3-7pm and at weekends.

If you enjoy working as part of a team but can also use your own initiative, like the idea of working a variety of shifts, for some of the greatest radio stations in the country, then Trafficlink could be just the right place for you to work. For further information on Trafficlink visit www.trafficlink.co.uk

We look forward to hearing from you!
