Job Description
Pengower are currently looking to recruit a Junior Programmer/Business Analyst to join their development team based in the Pengower Birmingham Office. Starting salary £18,000 p.a..
Pengower delivers cloud based Platform as a Service and Software as a Service solutions to public and private sector organizations worldwide.
The role involves liasing with Pengower’s Sales/Account Management personnel to understand the needs of specific Customers and using Pengower’s Rapid Application Development Platform to develop the required solutions (the Pengower Platform requires little IT knowledge to utilise – it focuses more on an understanding of the business and User requirements). There will also be work directly with Customers to understand business requirements and translate these into enhancements to existing or new applications.
The successful candidate will be highly numerate, adaptable, self-motivated and willing to learn, with good communication skills, creative problem solving skills and an eye for detail. A sound understanding of business processes and an ability to analyse and understand the workings of different businesses across a wide range of industry sectors would be useful. A basic knowledge of the fundamentals of computer programming is required. A working knowledge the Microsoft .Net environment and an understanding of web applications would be advantageous.
