Job Description
Rokeby School are looking to appoint three Gap Year Assistants to work across the whole School (Reception - Year 8) for the duration of the next academic year 2011-12.
As a Gap Year Assistant, you will be both a classroom and games assistant who will teach and assist in a variety of subjects and extra-curricular activities. Your presence and assistance at the school will be of tremendous benefit to the children and their quality of education.
You will primarily be working as a teaching assistant alongside the existing teaching staff. Outside of normal teaching hours you will be expected to contribute to the activities programme, helping to increase the confidence of the boys and build important life skills. Using your imagination and innovation can really make a huge difference in a role like this.
This is the perfect gap year opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with children. It is not only for those aspiring to become teachers. An experience like this one teaches you all kinds of skills and greatly increases your confidence.
