This is a career with a lucrative earning potential:
£30k - £50k in Year 1
£60k - £80k in Year 2
£80k - £100k+ in Year 3
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant you will be trained in generating new business, account development, negotiating offers and placements. You will be talking to clients, resourcing candidates and building your own vertical market to specialise in.
Career progression is generally based on a meritocracy; when you hit your targets you will be promoted. Upon promotion you will be essentially running your own business within a business; where every penny you make will be reflected in your pay packet.
You must be very money motivated, ambitious, competitive and prepared to work hard.
Recruitment is fundamentally a telesales role where you have to be resilient enough to deal with rejection and disappointment and still remain motivated to make every call count. Working hours are generally 8am – 7pm but the harder you work the more you will earn!
If you are seriously money hungry and want a job where you are rewarded for the effort you put in this is the industry for you.
Your success in recruitment will ultimately be down to you and your motivations. Sales experience is desirable but not necessary.
