Job Description
London Literacy Champions is a project running in 12 London boroughs which will increase family engagement with literacy. This will be done through a network of volunteers.
We are currently recruiting an Assistant Volunteer Coordinator.
Role requirements:
• Be a graduate in education or related
field
• Be available and commitment for
6months (approx 2 days a week)
• Be motivated about working with families and volunteers
ROLE OF THE ASSISTANT VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
•To support with recruiting and coordinating placement of volunteers
in settings
•To co train volunteers with the Volunteer Coordinator
•To be mentor for the volunteers
•To support the management of the project in the borough of Ealing
London Literacy Champions work with parents and carers, improving their confidence in helping their children develop good reading and communication skills.
