Job Description
German speaker required as Research Analyst on a freelance basis, with the possibility of full-time employment from October 2011.
The Europe Japan Centre is a specialist research institute working for Japanese think tanks, research institutes, companies, trade associations and government organisations. Our projects range from research on technical issues and governmental policy to market analysis and meeting arrangements.
The successful candidate will initially be employed on a project basis (over summer 2011), with the possibility of full-time employment from October.
Requirements (please do not reply if you do not meet these requirements):
- Fluent in German and English
- Educated to Postgraduate level (at least MA/MSc)
- Background in social sciences
- Excellent analytical and writing skills
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
- Additional European language skills are a plus, as is Japanese language and/or experience of Japan
Useful Characteristics:
- Persistence, determination and an interest in a wide variety of topics
- Good team worker, but also able to work independently
- Quick learner who can produce work rapidly
- Creativity and enthusiasm.
