Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Job Description
We now have a need for a summer intern, July – October 2011, with the potential for you to make yourself invaluable to the company and join us full time.
As this is an internship, renumeration will be minimal and will be discussed only with interested applicants. Over the internship you will get maximum exposure to marketing activities and clients. You will need to be in short distance to Milton Keynes for this role, our office is in the North of MK.
Our current client portfolio is wide, dealing with E-commerce websites, local companies and international brands.
The work will cover lots of different avenues, including, but not limited to:
- Social media management (plus strategic input if you feel you can)
- Campaign implementation and some responsibility may be given to come up with full campaign ideas
- Business development, you will be encouraged to find new clients – which in turn will hopefully make you indispensable to us!
- Admin support, sorry but this is part of marketing and we need someone to help with the dull stuff on occasions!
- Ghost writing and copy writing for both FC and clients
- Keeping the FC website up to date with blog posts and workshops
- Writing and presenting content at our workshops
- Using your experience and passion to develop new campaigns for FC
- Oh there’s so much more! Come and chat with us!
- You will also be expected to support our sister graphic and web design company
Skills required:
- We need someone who understands marketing principles, so a marketing degree or CIM certificate is essential (if you’re training for your CIM, that’s fine)
- We use Apple MACS here at Fusing Creativity, Windows are banned! So please feel comfortable navigating a mac.
- You’ll need to be technologically savvy – we don’t need you to instantly know how to use every web tool going, but you will need the skills to pick things up quickly.
- The company is run in a very neutral hierarchy – we want someone who will challenge and support us with respect. We are not looking for a yes man
- Someone who can communicate articulately across all forms of communication – face to face, email, phone and social channels.
- Someone who has a desire to succeed and wants to be part of something that is growing. If you’re in whilst we’re growing, you’re part of that growth.
- You need to be highly organised
- All marketers lie somewhere on the scale between Analytical and Creative, we are looking for someone with a strong analytical marketing brain, who can complement our current skillset and help with the creative angle but also help to keep projects in check. It’s a strong responsibility.
We won’t make you wear a suit, we are a very informal company and our clients love that. We have office space available if you require it, but you will be able to work from home, we’re not the greatest believer in the 9-5 approach, get the job done and we won’t complain that you took a 2 hour lunchbreak.
